This six weeks Mrs. Lafferty, challenged us to a 80 label bone practical. There were various labels on the Skull, Thoracic, Pelvic region, Scapula, Humerus, Ulna, Radius, the hand, Femur, tibia, fibula, and the foot. The labeling was fairly easy, the biggest worry we had was if we got all of the labels, and if the were the CORRECT ones. We all had to figure out what method of studying was best for us. for me, I took picture of al the bones from various angles. Loaded them on a google document and printed them out in packet for. I went through and highlighted all the labels and wrote out to the side what they were. We all compared our labels to each others to make sure we got the same ones. The labels I had troubles with were the humerus, ulna, and the tibia. I knew the labels by heart, but when test time came around and I go to the bone, I just went blank , and I second guessed myself. Mrs. Lafferty also gave us the choice of taking the test early orally, or written on Friday. I was a afraid i wasn't going to pronounce the word right if I took the test orally, which I was afraid would result in a penalty. "Tomato, tomoto right?"
Overall I liked the bone practical, it definitely helped me develop a helpful study method for me for the future.
